The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the higher amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area here each day. The support point created for intervention activities a large influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
